Who we are

MarkMate ("we") provides an AI-assisted marking tool for A-level and IGCSE mathematics teachers and tutors.

What we collect

• Marking content you submit — questions, mark schemes, and student answers (typed text or photos of handwritten work).
• Account & contact — your email if you join the waitlist or create an account.
• Basic usage — anonymous events (page visits, features used) to improve the product.

How we use it

• The content you submit is sent to our AI marking engine solely to produce the marking result you requested.
• We use your email only to contact you about MarkMate (launch, your account). We do not sell your data.

Third parties

To deliver the service we use infrastructure and AI providers (hosting and a large-language-model marking engine), and, for paid plans, a payment provider that acts as merchant of record. These process data only to provide the service.

Student data

You are responsible for having the right to upload student work. We recommend removing student names from uploads. We retain submitted content only as needed to provide and improve the service, and do not use it to identify individual students.

Your choices

You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us. Analytics are anonymous and aggregate.
